This was a fun night, playing alongside friends Angelica & Daniel Paul Cortez, with Livwutang from NYC headlining. Acme Collective are doing great things in this city and beyond, bringing together all kinds of creative folks spanning genres and artistic mediums. they often include an art exhibit as this night did. the crowd is younger than a lot of the techno shows around here, and they certainly know how to get down.
i'd been burning out on the material i had been developing & playing around, so i decided to change it up. instead of my trusty Engine sequencer i broke out the Torso T-1, which is an euclidian based sequencer. sequencing acid on it is a bit of a challenge, and one that i was up for. there were some technical difficulties early on, and overall i feel like it's a bit rougher than most sets because i wasn't as familiar with the workflow or material. but there were some real magic moments. and on that Void Acoustics rig, it sounded incredible.
